Men 1XI vs North Devon 1

What a fantastic display of ball and stick action, a day of 3 separate hat trick avoidances was in full effect in the sunny yet blustery surrounds of the park community school.

Jack Bellamy started off the scoring for the day with a well placed drag flick that most keepers who owned pads wouldn’t be upset to see fly into their net. He doubled up with a matter of minutes to show why he’s the best OCHC player to visit Thailand within the last 12 months  .

Aidan Long then showed his prowess bagging his first goal of the season from a well worked short corner routine.

North Devon brought the score line back to 3-1 before the half time break.

After half time it was Archie James’s time to shine. Freed from the shackles of previous seasons, this is a man on fire in front of goal bagging a quick fire brace quicker than you can recite the national anthem on Christmas Day. A true step up for the young vice captain to seal the game for OCHC.

The real mention of the day goes go a plucky Jake Meyers who in a real life zero to hero villain arc, went from dog last week to winning man of the match, from the moment he graced the pitch he created countless opportunities and eventually managed to score the final two goals which proved pointless in the end but I tell you what he looked good doing it.

Final score 7-2 to OCHC
