Women 5XI vs Tavistock

What a great game we had this morning, but despite having the majority of the possession, we just couldn’t get past the Tavistock defence. Everyone one played so well and afterwards the opposition said they wished they had some 12 year olds like ours! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾!

Gavin Roberts did a wonderful job sorting out the team and subs…..we even had a new formation which seemed to work well!

The two forwards were Nickki Chadwick and Sofia Higgins, midfielders: Amelie Haley, Margot Elliot, Tegen Hunt and Summer Roberts and sometimes Eryn Royston, when she wasn’t playing at the back!

The backs all had great games, marking well. Belle Knight stopped many balls in the air, nothing much got past Charlotte McMaster and Rute Serra and Amelia Barber saved many a goal.

Cat Serra played her first ladies match out field and did so well midfield, well supported by her young team mates.

Not surprisingly nearly everyone got a MOM vote but the winner this week was Margot Elliot, followed closely by Sofia Higgins.

Though we didn’t win we played some excellent hockey and I hope left the pitch feeling proud of ourselves….I know I did!

Thanks must also be given to our supporters.

One match to go plus a fun one v U12s, siblings and parents …..don’t forget I need your players player vote asap….. thanks.X👍🙂🏑
