Wow what a wonderful way to finish this half of the season.
This morning 5 players plus 6 mothers and daughters and 5 dads and daughters (including 2 umpires (thanks) took to the pitch on a chilly, windy but thankfully sunny day after Storm Darragh.
The teams were split evenly but after Tori Mossford scored the first goal for the white team I quickly asked Josh Langrishe to put on an orange bib and play for us - this made a BIG difference!
Olivia West then scored 3 goals and Chloe Higgins one.
Everyone played so well. I knew the youngsters would but the novice parents were equally impressive!….I think a few might be golfers though!
The umpiring was equally impressive, especially when a flick was awarded…..unheard of in the Sunday League!
A group photo was taken at the end and then each team chose 2 MOM……they were the two goalies Jackson and Cat Serra, Lizzie Langrishe and Charlotte Spreckley.
Well done everyone - it was a lot of fun…..shall we have a return match?!
Happy Christmas.
