SUNDAY MATCH REPORT OC 4'S VS TAVISTOCK Home 0-3 

PUSHBACK 11.15

We all arrived at the pitch in the pouring rain and cold wind, dreading being on the pitch. 

Everyone stood on the side line anticipating the match and making sure we had enough skins underneath our kit til Captain Angie told us to ‘Get Moving!’

The first half started well with our pushback but soon it was clear we were going to be playing a very defensive game. We were strong at the back but within the first 10 mins a goal managed to slip past us and Tavistock were up 1-0. 

We were not deterred by this minor inconvenience and put the pressure on them again. Blanche, Honey, Charlotte, Liv, Anna, Chloe, Poppy, Nikki and Hannah were all swapping around subbing in the middle and front but by half time were 2-0 down as another goal managed to get past us.

HALF TIME TALK

Consensus was that we were not playing out wide enough and were minimising our chances at hit outs by not getting in a space.

On to the second half and Tavistock were on us again from the off. Lots of defensive play from Angie, Lorri, Aimee and Vicky. Lorri spent a bit of time on her back and allowing a few short corners but none of these conceded a goal which showed the skill of the defence including Liriel who managed to block and save countless shots on goal.

At some point in the second half Tavistock managed to get another goal past the keeper taking them to 3-0 which a bit disheartening considering we were all playing our OC socks off.

Final score 3-0 to Tavistock 

Man of the match Liriel and Blanche as both played amazingly well.
